Justice for Hungary was the flight name and the pilot was György Endresz and navigator Sándor Magyar's.
They flew a Lockheed-Sirius single-engine aircraft, which they used to cross the Atlantic Ocean from Harbor Grace near New York on July 16, 1931, landing near Bicske after an uninterrupted flight. The journey took 26 hours and 20 minutes, six hours shorter and about twice as long as Charles Lindbergh's transoceanic world record set four years earlier. A technical innovation was the constant radio communication with the departure and arrival airports during the flight. The purpose of the ocean flight was to raise international awareness of the injustice at Trianon in a spectacular way. The aircraft was built with the donation of Emil Szalay, an American businessman; the name was chosen by Lord Rothermere, who supported the cause of Hungarian reparation and offered a $10,000 reward for the success of the action. Newspapers around the world reported the event on their front pages.
The two pilots received a heroic welcome home.
