Samovar Sputnik - Conquering Space - 1977 - Space travel with 6 Sputnik tea glasses *
NOT YET FOR SALE
This is the largest space exploration propaganda item ever produced by the USSR. This samovar depicts the planet Saturn and Sputnik, the first artificial satellite launched into Earth's orbit on October 4, 1957. This electric samovar has a capacity of 2.5 litres and is in original condition. Few samovars of this model are still in circulation, as they cost 30 roubles at the time, a fortune for the average Soviet citizen. This samovar can be seen, among other places, in the Science Museum in London and the Space Museum in Moscow.
With the push button under the samovar, it is easy to switch on and off.
It is a complete set of samovar, 6 podstakannik Sputnik tea glass holders and 6 glasses.
