Model of a 30.5 cm mortar System Skoda, from the Austro-Hungarian Army. This is a magnificent presentation model of the famous Austro-Hungarian M1911/16 305mm siege howitzer cannon. This highly detailed and movable model is carefully crafted and mounted on a single large piece of red marble. The lower edge is smoothly polished and transitions into a rough texture simulating a mountain ridge. The cannon and carriage are fixed at the top and are made of multiple lacquered base metal parts, brass or bronze. The cannon breech can be manually moved up and down, and the cannon can rotate 360 degrees. The back of the marble base has a recessed panel for a plaque, but it has been removed. This was clearly a special presentation piece, probably commissioned by Skoda Works and given only to very important individuals, high-ranking military officers, and political figures. It is displayed in the Technicke Museum (Museum of Science and Technology) in Vienna, Austria.
The M1911/16 has a long and legendary history. Only 79 were made, and they were used in both WWI and WWII. This is a beautiful display model, almost unique, and rarely offered for sale. Height with cannon up 26 cm, 32 cm long and 12 cm wide. It weighs 9150 grams, 9.2 kilos. The upper part can be detached and will be shipped that way to prevent damage. Model has signs of age such as marble damage and missing or loose small parts, but it is certainly a rare model. Packaged together 11 kilos. Scale The scale is made of bronze and chrome-plated. At the bottom of the scale it says:30.5 cm Mörser 1914 - 1915. On the back it says: System Skoda Werke AG Pilsen 18.8 x 15 x 1.8 cm 770 grams. Price is for the set of 2 items

Shipping is once a week, usually on Wednesdays, after payment has been received, and can be done with the following shipping options.
Preferably insured shipping. Registered mail, letterbox parcel or regular parcel are also possible, but at the buyer's risk. The shipping cost in the advertisement is for a registered parcel up to 10 kg; please indicate if it needs to be insured. Everything will be packed to the best of my ability, but I have no control over rough handling by transport companies, and shipping is entirely at the buyer's risk. If possible, an attempt will be made to send as many items as possible in one package to keep shipping costs low.
Reserving items that are not yet for sale is also possible, but only after a 10% down payment with a minimum of 10 euros. The new items arrive in the Netherlands once or twice a year; please keep this in mind when reserving, as it can sometimes take months.
