This pair of table or wall lamps was designed by Ernest Igl.
In Poland, the design was used for the so-called Little Dog lamp model 1318, made by the company Capital Metal Works No. 2 in Warsaw.
It was also sold by Hillebrand.
It appears in catalogues from 1958 and 1960.

Ernest Igl was born on February 6, 1920, as Ernest Hofmann in Prague, Czech Republic.
Igl graduated from the academy in Karlsbad in 1938 and then attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Academy of Applied Arts in Munich.
After the Second World War, he worked as a graphic artist in Munich. He enjoyed a great reputation as one of the first illustrators for major schoolbook publishers and distinguished himself as an international industrial designer. He was a graphic artist, painter, set designer, and sculptor. His modern designs are coveted by collectors.

Lamps are made of lacquered metal casings with V-shaped lacquered metal legs and lacquered perforated sheet steel lamp shades, adjustable.
Operation is via a push-button switch on the new 2-meter long cable.
Condition is good to very good, and ready for immediate use.
It fits an E14 bulb and all lacquer is original and there is no color difference between the 2 lamps
Flexible use, designed to be placed on a table or hung on the wall.

Terms and conditions

  1. Shipping is once a week, usually on Wednesdays, after payment has been received, and can be done with the following shipping options.
  2. Preferably insured shipping. Registered mail, letterbox parcel or regular parcel are also possible, but at the buyer's risk.
    The shipping cost in the advertisement is for a registered parcel up to 10 kg; please indicate if it needs to be insured.
    Everything will be packed to the best of my ability, but I have no control over rough handling by transport companies, and shipping is entirely at the buyer's risk.
    If possible, an attempt will be made to send as many items as possible in one package to keep shipping costs low.
  3. Reserving items that are not yet for sale is also possible, but only after a 10% down payment with a minimum of 10 euros. The new items arrive in the Netherlands once or twice a year; please keep this in mind when reserving, as it can sometimes take months.
  4. The description of the item reflects my own findings; I have done my best to find out as much as possible about it. No rights can be derived from this. Please form your own opinion.
  5. Everything is old and used; please account for age-related wear, damage, scratches, dents, stains, etc.
