My name is Rodger. I was born in Dandenong, Australia, later moved to the Netherlands, and now live in Hungary.
This site originated from my own passion for collecting. At one point, I had so much that I decided to let go of some — and that's how this website took shape.
That collecting frenzy started early. As a child, I collected bird eggs, insects that I carefully preserved in cigar boxes, and flowers and plants that I dried between the pages of a book. In my teenage years, old radios and building model airplanes were added to the mix.
It wasn't until I started working and got my own home that I could truly surround myself with the things I love and that move me.
Over the past 25 years, I have come to know and appreciate Eastern Europe. The beautiful buildings, monuments, and art made a deep impression and have since been an important source of inspiration. During my explorations, I regularly come across special items that I think might also be interesting to others. Yet, I only buy objects that I feel a connection with myself — that remains the most important thing for me.
I have been active on Marktplaats.nl for many years and can also be found there under my own name. This shows that I have been doing this with pleasure and care for a long time, and that I have built up a good reputation.
All my items are shipped from or picked up in the Netherlands.
A few years ago, I started a website via Weebly so I could also display items that were not yet for sale. Unfortunately, that site is no longer active, and no updates were possible. That's why I switched to Shopify, where this new site was created.
