My name is Rodger. I was born in Dandenong, Australia, later moved to the Netherlands, and now live in Hungary.
This site grew out of my personal passion for collecting. At some point, I had accumulated so much that I decided to let part of it go — and that’s how this website came into being.
My collecting passion started early. As a child, I collected bird eggs, insects that I carefully kept in cigar boxes, and flowers and plants that I dried between the pages of a book. In my teenage years, this expanded to include old radios and building model airplanes.
It wasn’t until I started working and had my own home that I could truly surround myself with the things I find beautiful and meaningful.
Over the past 25 years, I have come to know and appreciate Eastern Europe. The beautiful buildings, monuments, and art made a deep impression on me and have since become an important source of inspiration. During my searches, I regularly come across special items that I believe may also interest others. However, I only buy objects that I personally feel connected to — that remains the most important thing to me.
I have been active on Marktplaats.nl for many years and can also be found there under my own name. This shows that I have been doing this with care and enjoyment for a long time and have built a good reputation.
A few years ago, I started a website through Weebly so that I could also showcase items that were not yet for sale. Unfortunately, that site is no longer active and updates were no longer possible. Therefore, I switched to Shopify, where this new website was created.
